Good afternoon Mr. Hey, and thank you for your comment. Please allow me to respond to your critical assessment.

You see, the problem with having a limited amount of space in which to expound upon the lack of merit of a particular program, is that it leaves me with little room to completely elaborate on just how exactly something horrible is horrible. I can only sum up the general horribility of something in such a short window.

Let me be clear that I am in no way attacking a show because it may (does) have an underlying homosexual message, I have no problem with agendas, no matter who they choose to sleep with. The problem was how poorly, ham handed and blatantly the message was presented. As you may have understood if you had read the entirety of my review, I mentioned that genre stories have the ability to present a subtle message about a particular social issue that when done well, often "makes you think about the issue in a new way". Generally a more positive way. We thank the program for teaching us without us even realizing it has. That was not the case in this program.

Also, it was a generally piss poor program based on a weak premise.

So let me just clear up any lingering confusion about my take on the show Merlin: The Legend Continues (or what ever it was called): Merlin was a bad show and it was gay, it was not a bad show BECAUSE it was gay. Why, some of my best friends can't marry each other.

So Mr. Hey, thank you for your time, and please, enjoy some of my other, less issue centric reviews of programs equally as un-enjoyable as this one.

xoxo

It's almost as if you are attacking the notion that a show could ever have some sort of deeper meaning that deals with homosexuality. In your review you simply establish the homosexual undertones and in the end conclude that the show is "incredibly bad," with no other support leaving some implied link between the homosexual undertones and a show being bad.

I can see how you made the jump to the program and it's gay issues but I must admit that I never would have made the connection. Even after reading this post I can't imagine that the crux of the series had gay overtures.
