Texan indie pop group Voxtrot has announced that they will be splitting up after a final hurrah in the form of a farewell tour (appropriately titled their Goodbye Cruel World tour). On the band's website is a letter to the fans from frontman Ramesh Srivastava explaining the reasoning behind the decision, musings on where he'll go next, and all that good stuff. Voxtrot leaves behind a fairly scant discography, a single full-length album and a handful of EPs - Raised by Wolves being one I personally recommend highly. Definitely catch these guys on one of their last shows if you have the chance.

Voxtrot's Goodbye Cruel World tour dates are as follows:

5/21 Chicago, IL - Lincoln Hall 5/22 Appleton, WI - Lawrence University 5/27 Los Angeles, CA - Echoplex 5/29 San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall 6/3 Austin, TX - Emo's 6/23 Washington, DC - Black Cat 6/25 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom
