Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is going to hit the road in June on a solo tour to coincide with the release of his new solo record, Ukulele Songs (which drops on May 31).

If that prospect isn't intriguing enough, Vedder is bringing along Glen Hansard from The Swell Season and the Frames as support.

As with most Pearl Jam and PJ-related events, members of the exclusive Ten Club will have a shot to get presale tickets for this tour on March 29th, with regular onsales beginning on April 1.

This show won't be cheap, as each pair of tickets will set you back in the range of $150-162. But then again, this tour is probably most appealing for diehard Pearl Jam fans who won't balk at such steep prices.

Ukulele Songs is a collection of Vedder-penned tunes as well as some covers. On May 31, when the album is released, a live DVD entitled Water on the Road also hits shelves. The DVD will feature performances from Vedder's two solo gigs on August 16 and 17, 2008, in Washington DC. The tracklist for the DVD includes original Vedder ukulele songs, some selected Pearl Jam works and some of Vedder's past solo work, including songs from the Into the Wild soundtrack.

Fans interested in Vedder's ukulele tour can probably expect to hear such a setlist at those shows as well.
