According to MetalSucks, System of a Down have some tour dates lined up in the Spring. This of course is big news, considering this would be the first US tour for SOAD in about 4-5 years (as they went on hiatus in 2006).

They did announce some UK festival gigs for this upcoming June, but hadn't said anything about any US shows...until now.

The thing is, no one else seems to have posted about this tour announcement. MetalSucks mentions that they have a "reliable source" breaking the news, but so far there hasn't been any "official" announcement of this tour.

As the original article lists, here are the tentative SOAD show dates and locations:

5/10 – Edmonton, AB – Rexall Place

5/12 – Vancouver, BC – Rogers Arena

5/13 – Seattle, WA – White River Amphitheater

5/15 – San Francisco, CA – Shoreline Amphitheater

5/18 – New York City, Boston or Albuquerque – TBA

5/19 – New York City, Boston or Albuquerque – TBA

5/21 – Las Vegas, NV – The Pearl Concert Theatre

5/22 – San Diego, CA – Cricket Wireless Amphitheater

5/24 – Los Angeles, CA – The Forum

5/25 - Irvine, CA – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

If this tour does indeed happen, it would appear that yes, both System of a Down and Rammstein are set to play the Forum in Los Angeles within 5 days of each other. Rock on.

Stay tuned, if any official word comes out about this tour we'll be sure to spread the word.
