FOO FIGHTERS CONFIRM FALL U.S. DATES
Pre-Sales To Begin May 18 For September Arena Shows
Foo Fighters have confirmed the next run of shows in their ongoing American arena headline run in support of the worldwide #1 album Wasting Light (Roswell/RCA). Pre-sales for this leg, which kicks off September 14 in St. Paul MN and runs through September 26 in East Rutherford NJ, will begin May 18. General on sales follow May 20 with the exception of St. Paul and Columbus which go on sale to the public June 4.
Rise Against and Mariachi el Bronx will be support for the U.S. run.
The September dates expand on the recently announced midwest headline dates beginning May 17 in Tulsa OK and concluding May 26 in Missoula MT. Motorhead and Biffy Clyro provide support on that run, during which the Foos will also drop in for headlining appearances at the Hangout and Sasquatch festivals. In addition Foo Fighters have also announced a pair of Canadian dates, August 9 in Toronto and August 10 in Montreal, which go on sale May 20 and 21 respectively. Doughboys and F—ed Up will support on both Canadian shows.
The tour follows in the wake of Foo Fighters’ just -released seventh album Wasting Light, which is still riding high on the charts after debuting at #1 in a dozen countries. Wasting Light has also generated arguably the best critical notices of the band’s 16-year career, including four star lead reviews from Rolling Stone and People, and an A- lead review from Entertainment Weekly that summed up “Here’s the miracle, though: Foo Fighters never feel like a backward-looking band. Light is a muscular rock & roll throwdown, featuring the Foos delivering exactly the kind of catchy, pummeling anthems they’re known for, with total disregard for the whims of the masses.”
More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. For a complete list of current Foo Fighters North American tour dates and ticketing info visit the tour website.

About Pacific Festival: OC
Pacific Festival: OC was successfully launched last year by transforming Orange County’s Costa Mesa community landmark Triangle Square into a two-day music festival that played host to capacity crowds and featuring 50+ acts, including business partner Steve Aoki, The Sounds, Rebelution, Miami Horror, The Aggrolites, Alan Braxe, Classixx, Lifelike, Rob Roy and Chiddy Bang. Last year’s launch was supported by Skullcandy, Vitamin Water, OC Weekly, Firestone Beer, and Ty Ku. The event also played host to celebrities Kat Von D and Jesse James, along with professional surfer Jordy Smith, Mickey Avalon, Beetlejuice and Sylvester Stallone. In addition, Governor Schwarzenegger endorsed DEEJAY DC’s successful Guinness Book of World Records attempt at Pacific Festival: OC for the world longest DJ set—spanning 121 consecutive hours. “This is a quite an endeavor you’re about to undertake, one that could not happen without your determined efforts and skills. As a former professional athlete, I know the tremendous amount of preparation it takes to become a winner, and I applaud your dedication to making your goals a reality,” wrote Governor Schwarzenegger in a letter of support written to Deejay DC.
Pacific Festival Entertainment is the vision of two groups of longtime friends with a combined 40 years of experience in music and event production. Steve Aoki, world-renowned DJ and founder of Dim Mak Records, and Mike Tunney, founder of Collaborative Media, have been friends for over 25 years, growing up together in Newport Beach. As their first business venture, Aoki and Tunney wanted to create a new music and arts festival for the Orange County community. With a keen vision to produce first-class live entertainment experiences, the two friends joined forces to create Pacific Festival Entertainment alongside Kelson Berkus and Orange County-native Justin Ruiz.
“The idea was to produce an event that connects culture with community; art with music; and entertainment with philanthropy in our backyard of Orange County,” says Steve Aoki, one of the festival’s founding partners. “We wanted to establish a premium music and arts festival, and have organized a large collective of seasoned event producers, artists, friends and musicians.”

New York, NY – Since its unveiling last week, Peter Bjorn and John’s sixth album Gimme Some has found praise flowing in from all corners. Gimme Some has been tapped as “a top contender for best album of the year” by Elle and hailed for its’ “inspired, melodic, wildly infectious pop songs” by NPR. Filter appreciated the “heavy drums and catchy guitar riffs” while SPIN thought the Swedes might be in cahoots with Ikea. How else could they construct such a perfect “instruction guide for building pop’s nuts and bolts into super catchy songs”?
The trio performed Gimme Some’s first single “Second Chance” on Conan back in January, and once again in March on The Tonight Show (this time, however accompanied by a bearded, gong-playing mystery man.)
And Peter Bjorn and John are giving ample opportunity for American fans to catch them in-the-flesh this spring, with a slew of April and May tour dates amongst amber waves of grain, purple mountain majesties (and fruited plains). Ticket-buyers clamoring, PB&J have added additional June shows in Texas and California.
With a decade of raw yet deft live performances and sonically innovative studio albums behind them, Peter Bjorn and John are no strangers to the attention and admiration of the indie rock world. But this time they seem so be getting that little bit of extra lovin’. How do you say “don’t call it a comeback” in Swedish?

SOUNDGARDEN RELEASE FIRST EVER LIVE ALBUM, NOW STREAMING ON FACEBOOK PAGE
Live on I-5 Available Everywhere Now via A&M/UMe
Soundgarden have just released their first ever live album, Live on I5, which can be streamed in full on the band’s Facebook page.
Titled Live on I5 a reference to the Interstate 5 which runs up and down the West Coast- the new collection compiles live tracks from a 1996 run by the band and captures the band at the height of their recording and touring career. This carefully selected compilation includes fan favorites like Spoonman, Rusty Cage, Burden In My Hand, and Black Hole Sun (performed by Chris Cornell solo), as well what insiders are calling the definitive live performance of Jesus Christ Pose. As a bonus, the disc includes two brilliantly inspired covers: The Beatles Helter Skelter and The Stooges anarchic proto-punk classic, Search & Destroy. The band took out recording engineer, Adam Kasper with them on the West Coast leg of this tour- the first time they ever recorded any live shows. They rented a mobile 24 track machine/truck and recorded the gigs on 2″ tape. Soundgarden had always intended to release it as a live record soon after the tour, but alas, they disbanded and the tapes were left in the closet of Studio X in Seattle (now called Bad Animals) to gather dust until now.
Live on I5 is the follow-up to Soundgardens celebrated 2010 reunion, with the band re-staking their well deserved place, earning a Grammy nomination for previously unreleased track Black Rain for Best Hard Rock Performance, gracing the covers of music magazines SPIN and Guitar World, performing on the second night of Conan and topping critics lists with their fall 2010 release, Telephantasm. The multi-label, career-spanning collection, also available in collectors editions with the bands first-ever DVD and booklet, was a comprehensive retrospective of the enormously influential band whose music put Seattle and a young label called Sub Pop on the map. As befits a group whose sound redefined a musical generation, they also proved themselves to be innovators with their partnership with Guitar Hero, with 1 million copies of Telephantasm sold, bundled within the launch of Guitar Hero®: Warriors of Rock. The album went platinum before even hitting stores- a first time certification for the RIAA.
Soundgardens subsequent live appearances had all the chemistry and intensity fans and critics had hoped for with the bands legendary heavy sound and power intact. Their headlining Lollapalooza spot last year found the four members playing their classic material from the 90s to longtime fans and a new generation who never thought theyd be lucky enough to see them. Rolling Stone wrote, Chris Cornell is the ultimate rock frontman and Spin said, The band kicked into an epic set that was the sonic equivalent of a blueprint of the Seattle sound: heavy, loud, and full of metal guitar heroics and classic rock pomp.
With Live on I5, we catch the now-legendary rock titans at the top of their game. The collection captures the rawness, spontaneity and magic that happens at live gigs between Soundgarden and their audiences. It cements the bands place in rock history and shows why their appeal is as strong and as timeless as ever.

The expanded, remastered reissue of Queens Of The Stone Age’s classic 1998 debut out digitally March 8 and on CD and vinyl April 19 on Rekords Rekords/Domino can now be streamed in its entirety at the band’s website and social media channels, as well via the site of the band’s own Rekords Rekords imprint and label partner Domino.
Queens Of The Stone Age will be available on CD (REK001CD), double vinyl LP (REK001LP) and via digital download (REK001D). Pre-orders for the vinyl or CD formats will receive an instantly available digital download of the full record.
Queens Of The Stone Age is commemorating the upcoming reissue with a limited series of intimate shows at which the band will play the record in its entirety, plus B-sides and other rarities and hits from the early Queens catalogue up to the present. The tour kicks off March 16 in Austin TX and will now conclude with a just-added second Los Angeles show on April 13, the day after which Queens will appear on CONAN. At press time, the tour was nearly completely sold out, with tickets remaining for only four dates (Omaha, Des Moines, St. Louis and Kansas City).
The genesis of Queens Of The Stone Age-the band and this first album-goes back to the 1995 dissolution of the criminally overlooked Kyuss, specifically founding guitarist Homme’s migration from the California Desert to the Pacific Northwest to work on a new project concurrent with spending time on the road as second guitarist in Screaming Trees. Homme discarded the sludgy low-end expanses of his former band for much tighter song structure (for the most part) and honest-to-goodness capital ‘H’ hooks and what was originally christened Gamma Ray was quickly changed to Queens Of The Stone Age shortly after its 1996 birth.
Homme returned to his old stomping grounds and reunited with latter day Kyuss drummer Alfredo Hernandez to record as a fake trio (bass player “Carlo Von Sexron” is a nom-de-boom for Homme) and QOTSA came into full bloom, releasing the original version of this first album in 1998. If this re-issue doesn’t document “hour zero,” it’s only a few minutes past. “Regular John” introduces Homme as a smooth and assured vocalist with great melodic instinct. Tracks like “Avon” and “Walkin On Sidewalks” lock into heavy riffs that are in entrancing in their repetition and subtle shifts. And it’s hard to believe that insistently catchy “How To Handle A Rope” didn’t make a greater impact on mainstream radio upon its initial release.
The Rekords Rekords/Domino re-issue has been fully remastered from the original tapes and expanded by three tracks: “The Bronze” and “These Aren’t the Droids Your Looking For” from the long out of print 1998 QOTSA/Beaver split EP and “Spiders and Vinegaroons” from the posthumous Kyuss/QOTSA split EP. The album will be the first released via a worldwide alliance between Queens’ Joshua Homme’s own Rekords Rekords and Domino to market, promote and distribute selected titles from their catalogue.
The complete itinerary for the Queens Of The Stone Age commemorative tour is as follows:
